CAMERA-BASED SORTING
Waste
Segregation
System
A camera-based prototype designed to identify waste and sort it into exactly two categories: organic and inorganic. The camera looks down at the tray, and the system is designed to help direct each item to the appropriate side.
Sorting logic: The system has two outputs only: organic and inorganic. It does not claim to sort recyclable, hazardous, or other separate categories.
Machine layout: A small camera is mounted above the tray to observe the item before sorting.
Next step: Connect the camera classification to the mechanism that routes the item to the correct side.
